Reports

Authorised Solo users have access to Operational Management reports as per User Role & Permission

Report Format

All reports have been migrated to SQL Server Reporting Script (SSRS) format.

Reports only return data which relates to projects for which the user has been allocated privileges for.

Printed reports are formatted with page number in the form of ‘Page x of y’, where x is page number and y is the total number of pages.

Printed reports are showing the Marken Logo, ‘Solo’ with the current version number, the date the report was printed and the name of the user who generated the printout.

In those cases where the reports are filtered data sets, printouts or file export file are showing the filter parameters that were in place when the report was generated.

Report Generation

For successful report generation please set suitable filter criteria, Date from/to is preferred.

All these reports have the option for the users export the data to a Excel file or to a PDF file.

In most cases the standard report format in PDF format will be suitable. However in cases where the export to Excel option is taken, users must be aware that errors may be introduced when formatting data in unsecured file formats outside the Solo system.

In addition, when exporting data to Excel format, users must ensure that the cell dimensions in the created Excel file are of sufficient size to ensure that all the data contained in that cell is visible. This is particularly important when there are known to be large numbers of Kit Numbers stored in a single location.

Any printouts of generated Excel files must be annotated with the name of the operator and the date the report was created. As an additional safeguard, an independent QC check on the Excel files, or printouts generated from these files, must be made prior to that file or printout being used for any regulated activities.

Any reports generated in Excel which are to be used in electronic format must be secured against further accidental modification.

**Important Instruction for Users Regarding Reports in Solo**

The format of reports utilise a database tool called ‘Sequel Server Reporting Services’ (or SSRS for short). The first time that you generate or print an operational report from Solo, the system will prompt you to install a component which is necessary to generate/print these reports. Instructions on how to respond to this prompt are attached to this email – Note that this is a onetime only activity and once configured the reports can be viewed/printed/exported without further user intervention.
