Closing Projects

This option allows authorized users to have access to the functionality for closing existing Projects. 
Once project is closed associated users do not have access - permissions need to added again if required.

For the Project closing the system verifies that all the related Subprojects have been previously closed. Before the Subproject closing the system verifies that all the related operations have final status.

Project Closing

By selecting the “Project Closing” option,

The system displays a screen where the user has to enter:

•Project code – Mandatory

•Closing date – Mandatory

When the user does not know the Project Code, click “…” button, which displays a screen where the user will be able to

search the project by using different filters.

By clicking the Search button; the system will display a list of existing projects with Sponsor Name, Project Code, Study Name, Status, Project Start Date.

The system arranges the result of the search in pages that may contain and show up to 10 Projects. In the lower part of the screen the user will be able to select the page with

the desired result.

If there are no projects, the system will display a blank screen.

The system allows searches filtering by Project Status: the Status shall be selected from the list on the screen: Start Up, Active, Closed.

Filtering by “Project Start Date” included in a certain period of time: The user has to select dates in the calendars “Start” and “End” displayed by the system.

Besides, the user can filter by: Sponsor, Study Name and Protocol.

If the user needs to make a new search, click Reset to clear the filters.

By selecting a project from the list, the system automatically goes back to the previous screen.

Once the Project Code that is to be closed has been entered, the system will complete automatically the fields: Sponsor, Protocol, Project Status and Regional Head.

The user shall enter the “Project Closing Date” and click the Close Project button. The system warns the user about the closing and asks a confirmation to complete the

operation.

Note that Projects can only be closed where there are no active subprojects.
