Glossary
SOLO: Marken’s proprietary Clinical Trial Supplies Inventory Management system.
CTM / Non-IP: makes reference to projects or storage for all the products, materials, equipments,... that are not within the IP classification, such as additional accessories for the drug administration, doctor-diagnosis equipment, transport boxes, etc...
IP: “Investigational Product”. Indicates that the storage and/or Project is for a pharmaceutical product in study (drug in study and/or buyer).
CMP: "Commercial Medical Product" indicates that the storage and/or Project is for a pharmaceutical product.
Positions: represents physical storage places, they are identified through a rack, a shelf and a column.
Types of depots: Represents a storage type (IP, CM or CTM), condition (temperature), controlled substance, mode (reception or returnned). For example: IP refrigerated returned
Depot: Physical space to store products.
Warehouse: Represents physical space to keep products. It is associated to a country. A warehouse can be owned by Marken or by Third Parties, when a Warehouse is owned by Marken, it could have different types of depots associated, and they themselves have a set of positions.
Project: Represents a contract with a sponsor. It has the information of the name of study, type of study (IP, CTM), the protocol and the code with which the project will be identified. Every project must have the associated names of the products involved and the activities and /or Operations that will be able to be done. It can have associated documentation related to the project. A Project will be composed of one or more subprojects.
SubProject: It is associated with a Project. Each Subproject must have an associated Warehouse as well as products and sites in a validated state, so the different operations can be performed.
Operations: Represents the activities associated to product movements between warehouses and sites. This includes inputs, outputs, movements or re-labeling of products. The operations are: Reception, Despatch, Return, Warehouse Movement, Destruction, Re-Labeling.
